How much money can be raised from this fundraiser?

You can earn $2,000 – $20,000 and more depending on the program you choose! Each organization can individually determine their profit margin. Typically, your earnings will increase with each consecutive year of participation.

How does this fundraiser work?

Your organization will “pre-sale” Christmas trees, wreaths, evergreens and garland during our recommended selling period from October through mid November. Money will be collected and managed by your group with profits retained. Orders must be submitted to Wood Mountain no later than November 13th, 2019. Payments are due in full no later than November 15th, 2019.

What are the costs to do this fundraiser?

There are no “up-front” costs to participate. In addition, there are no prepayment requirements during the fundraiser prior to order submittal.

How do we receive our trees and products?

The trees and products will be directly delivered to your site with the minimum order of 125 trees. Upon arrival of the 53′ semi-truck, your group’s volunteers will be responsible for unloading your order. For groups who do NOT meet our 125 tree minimum for direct delivery, our “Co-Op” program will allow you to pickup your products from a location within your geographical area for a nominal fee.

Is there a minimum order requirement for a direct delivery?

Yes, to receive direct delivery to your site, there is a minimum 125 TREE order requirement. Wreaths do not count towards the 125 tree minimum. For groups who do NOT meet the minimum 125 tree requirement, we do offer an alternative. See our “Co-Op” program detailed below.

Tell me about the Trees For Troops program?

Now you can deliver the “Spirit of Christmas” to military families while still supporting your own organization. Your customers may purchase a tree for donation to the “Trees for Troops” program. These trees will be sent directly to military bases in the Western United States.

Can we still participate if we don’t reach the 125-tree minimum order amount?

YES! For smaller groups who are unable to reach the 125 tree minimum, we offer the “Co-Op” program. Your group may participate in this program with the minimum of 50 trees sold to be delivered on the truck. For a nominal fee of $50, your group’s products will be combined with other groups who did not meet the minimum and will be delivered together to one location convenient to the truck route. Your group’s volunteer team will work together with other groups to offload, count and separate the order. Once count is finalized, your group will bring your order back to your site to hold for your customer pickup event the following day.

What about freight charges?

Freight charges are calculated based upon your final order. Freight charges are already included in the suggested retail price to your customers for your convenience. Rates are determined based on current fuel & transportation costs.

Do we need to pay sales tax on trees and other products?

YES. The State of California requires all organizations to pay sales tax. Some groups may be exempt as non-profit or 501(c)3 organizations. It is important to consult with your own tax advisor or accounting department to determine your own tax liability. You will be required to submit an EIN, resale, tax exemption number or pay sales tax. Wood Mountain will collect sales tax and forward to the Board of Equalization. Taxes are calculated at point of sale in Temecula, CA to client at the rate of 8.75%. This rate is calculated in your cost and added to the retail price for your customers to pay.
